We at the Hansel and Gretel restaurant know that people have the chance for longer survival on the Earth only
if they live in harmony with nature. Therefore, in addition to our healthy food that is natural, integral, ingredients
without artificial additives, we are doing our best not to pollute our environment.

Although we know, that we have not done everything yet, this is what we have done in our production facility up to now:

1. Much of our food is organically produced, and this production does not burden the natural environment

2. Plastic containers for packaging birthday cakes has been replaced by cardboard, and the replacement of plastic packaging material for ordinary cakes is under way.

3. Built-in fat separator of drain waters has been introduced

4. Separate collection of waste: paper, glass, plastic, metal, rubber, waste oils, and biological waste, are taken to separate recycling yard, in addition to the biological waste which we use to produce compost

5. Additional insulation of the refrigeration equipment and the plant, which consumes less energy ; Isolation is derived by means of fitted Styrofoam plates with thickness of 5 - 10 cm, so that for example, our freezing chamber is insulated in the range of 22cm thick plates to up to 50 cm insu- lation plates. In addition, our cold rooms are located on the northern end of the production hall, which has almost 3 times less insolation then the southern end and so we use the natural sources to save energy.

6.  Using the machine for washing up of pots and tins so that we save up to 5 times more energy and water than, in traditional, hand-washing up of such objects.

7. We have introduced the procedure of pre-washing up in order to save energy and water

8. Natural use of solar energy and protection from the sun in ways that we use in daytime in winter, large windows to collect heat, and in summer they are covered with awnings an antireflecting foils

9. The development of solar systems for heating hot water for washing up is under way , which should compensate for at least 60% of energy for heating water.

In the future we will be paying more attention to ecological means and technologies for cleaning and washing up and additional utilization of solar energy.
